Week Four: Motherboard, Storage and Power-Supply

After watching the video regarding Computer Hardware Repair, I find it to be helpful especially for individual who are handily (people who rather search the web for step- by-step procedure on something common then to pay more than the issue). The video also point-out simple tools that are needed for do-it yourself. But overall, I find the video to be very informatively explaining just about every little detail that we sometimes overlook.

With that said, the motherboard provides the unique access by given people the abilities to build a computer the way they choose. Unlike the motherboard of the past, the number of technologies the motherboard of today provide are very sophisticated in every way imaginable.

Today motherboards come with variety of connectivity ports attach like:

·         Bios Flashback Button

·         Digital Visual Interface-Dual (DVI-D) Port

·         High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) Port

Not mansion also, the motherboard come with additional slots for Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) card. Most GUP cards this day have both the DVI-D and HDMI connector ports that give customers the choice on whether to use the D-Subminiature (D-SUB) connector port or DVI-D and HDMI ports. You already know what me choice will be if you were to ask me because today computing is mostly about high graphic output.

The one thing that people should understand is that, building a computer may not seem that difficult to most, but however, the harder part is purchasing the right commendation of components. Just like the gentleman stated in the video (Computer Hardware Repair), know when to repair and know when to stop wasting time and purchase new computer. If chosen to build a computer, it’s imperative to purchase the proper component (Motherboard, CPU, GUP, RAM, Fan and Cooling Fan, Hard Drive, Power Supply, etc.). parts.
